No Alphabet?

Without the existence of an alphabet, life would be weird.  School would be easier though.  There would be no books, so the teachers would have to talk and teach us about what they learned from going to school.  Normally, when teachings are passed down from generation to generation, things are lost in the translation and meanings get turned around.  What we might learn from one teacher, another teacher may be teaching another group something different about the same subject.  I also think that without an alphabet, we would not have all the slang words we now have.  We probably would have just a few words.  No writing or readng means no homework ever.  Awesome!

  1. Considering I don't like reading much this could be a good thing! But then again we would be missing out on so much! As you said everything would have be from memory and I have a terrible memory! I don't know how many times a day I have to write something down! Life without an alphabet would be very difficult for me!

  2. I agree, but I think school would be harder, because there would be no way for teachers to take grades, so we wouldn't have writing homework, but we wouldn't be able to communicate or learn anything, so it might make everything harder.

  3. You have an interesting view on the no alphabet situation but, I don't think we would even have what we call school. Why would be need an education?
